Presets, practice photos and PDF guides

Lightroom presets

The 8 presets used in the editing lessons. They work in Lightroom Classic and in Lightroom on a computer.

1. Unzip the file. You get a folder with 8 .xmp files.
2. Lightroom Classic: import at least one photo and open the Develop module. Click the + at the top of the Presets panel, choose Import Presets, select all 8 files and click Import.
   Lightroom: choose File → Import Profiles & Presets and select the 8 files.
3. They show up under User Presets. The numbers follow the editing workflow in the lessons: 1 Import (lens correction), 2 Pre-HDR Interior, 3 Post-HDR Interior, 4 Exterior, 5 Aerial, 6 Auto Settings, plus two Straight profile presets.

Practice photos (RAW files)

The real bracketed photos from the job shadow shoots in Module 3. Download a shoot, then edit it alongside the matching Photo Edit lesson. The files are on Dropbox and you don't need a Dropbox account. If it asks you to sign in, close that box.

Start with the ARW's folder to follow a lesson from the first step (converting to DNG), or grab the smaller DNG's folder and start at the Lightroom import. In Dropbox, open the folder and click Download.

15 more shoots (Job Shadows #4 to #18): a condo, a four-plex, a twilight shoot, a house full of mirrors and more. Open one shoot at a time and download that folder. The whole collection is too big for Dropbox to zip in one go.

PDF guides
