   Guys welcome to the editing method section of the ultimate photographer formula. In this section we're going to go over our process for editing photos. We've made it simple by design and that is so it's easy to learn. That being said don't hesitate to reach out if you guys have any questions as you go through the process. Not only is our editing process simple by design, but it allows us to train up additional editors as well as achieve consistent results among multiple photo editors. Our editing process is a great place to start for those that are just getting started in real estate photography or for those seasoned professionals that are looking for a simpler editing process.

   Now once you get a handle on the real estate photography editing basics you may want to try different techniques based on the photo type that you want to create. That being said if you're brand new to real estate photography we recommend that you stick to our simple editing process. I'm excited to share our simple editing process with you. Let's get started.

   Jordan here. Today I'm gonna show you how to import presets into your Lightroom. So let's go ahead and jump over here into the computer. So first things first, you'll wanna download the presets. I have the presets right here on my desktop. I have four presets in a folder titled Presets. Now next you're gonna wanna open Lightroom. So we'll go ahead and open Lightroom. And you'll also wanna make sure that you have at least one picture in your library because if you go to the Development tab without a picture, sometimes it won't allow you to add or remove presets or mess with them. So anyways, so what you'll wanna do

   is go to the Develop tab. And over here, I think by default they're pretty much almost all closed up. You can open up presets right here and there's actually no users. So this is like a fresh install of Lightroom. What you'll wanna do is go to this plus button right here and go to Import Presets. And now what we're gonna do is go to the desktop and find the folder where you saved all the presets and then go in and select them all and click Import. All right, and now we have these user presets loaded up here.

   So anyways, so that's pretty straightforward on how to load up presets. If you guys have any additional questions on how to load presets into Lightroom, feel free to reach out and we'll see you guys on the next one.

   In this video I want to go over the six steps that we take before we even start editing our images. Step number one, copy your images to your computer from your SD card. Step number two, reduce those image sizes in DNG converter. Step number three, import those DNG files into Lightroom. Step number four, stack those images. Step number five, create HDR images using HDR merge. And finally step number six, add those HDR images to Quick Collection and start editing. Now out of these six steps, number two has been the biggest game changer for us here at Lister Pros and Adobe DNG converter is something that we stumbled upon a couple years ago and

   we've been using it since that time and it really has allowed us to make our workflow flow much faster because we're reducing those image sizes before we start editing. And it also has allowed us to do that directly after we're shooting properties and upload them from a tethered cell phone to our editors and you're not dealing with really, really big files. So it really has been a big game changer for us. I'll go into it in more detail in another video. But that's it for the six preliminary steps that we take before we start editing our images.    Guys, in this section we went over the editing method. We shared what software you will need as well as some editing sessions so that you can see what it's like to edit real estate photos first hand.

   Now your homework for this section is to get some first hand editing experience. Take the photos that you took in the previous section and go through our editing process to get some practice. Now it's going to take some practice before you feel comfortable editing real estate photos and for that reason we've shared 10 additional properties with you. You can find a link to those properties in the text below.
