Most of what gets said about this trade is anecdote repeated until it sounds like fact. Some of it is measurable. We run a production company with access to live MLS data, so where a question can be answered with a count instead of an opinion, we count it and publish the method alongside the number.
What photographers actually shoot with
Camera metadata from 104,922 Arizona listings. The state’s most-shot body is a 2013 entry-level DSLR, and the body most photographers own shoots nine listings each.

We publish our own row. ListerPros, the production company behind this site, appears in these datasets like everyone else — including the part where only 19.8% of our own jobs come back with readable metadata. We do not sell cameras or gear and run no affiliate links, so nothing here is written to move a commission.
