Guys in this video we're going to go over what equipment you'll need to successfully shoot real estate photography So the basic equipment you'll need to properly shoot real estate photos is a DSLR or mirrorless camera Paired with a wide-angle lens and a tripod. This is the bare minimum setup that you will need to get started Now I'm sure your next question is what camera lens and tripod should I get? Well, this will really just depend on your budget and what real estate media services you plan on offering I'll go over some options that will work if you plan on only offering photography services as well as options for photo and video

Services if you plan on only offering photography services, you can get started for less than $500 You can purchase a used Canon 70D for around $250 a used Canon 10 to 22 wide-angle lens for around $150 Add a basic tripod and a couple class 10 SD cards and you're still under $500 Now if you plan on offering video along with your photography services I wouldn't recommend this setup because the video dynamic range and the auto focus is not very good You can definitely get by with this setup, but I think there are better options Here are a couple good options if you plan on offering both photo and video services

First up is the Sony a6300 paired with a Sony 10 to 18 lens You can normally find both of these used on eBay for less than $1,200 this camera offers 24 megapixel photos and 4k video This is the entry-level kit that we would recommend for someone that wants to offer both professional photos and video Now if your budget is around $3,000 the camera lens combo we highly recommend for photos and video services is the Sony a7 III Paired with the Sony XI 16 to 35 millimeter lens for tripods We recommend using the Manfrotto 190 X with the ball head this entire setup comes out to be less than $3,000

This is actually the setup that we currently provide each of our media specialists here at Lister pros This camera allows us to provide high quality photos 4k HDR video and also has great features like a full-frame sensor for better low-light performance a Headphone jack and better battery life compared to the a6300 Now I could keep going and listing off more expensive camera options like the Sony a7 r4 with its 61 megapixel Sensor or the Sony a7s III that can do 4k at 120 frames per second But these options are overkill for the majority of real estate media jobs out there Don't feel like you have to purchase the newest and best gear in order to get started that use Canon 70d paired with the

10 to 22 millimeter lens are really all you need to get started in real estate now as you can tell we clearly Like Sony cameras here at Lister pros. We've been using them for several years now and really feel like they are a great option For real estate media however, we also understand that there are great Canon Nikon and Panasonic options for photos and video feel free to research other options and find what works best for you Well, that's it for this video guys reach out if you have any questions.
