37 - Adding Fire To Fire Places

Fireplaces can be a beautiful focal point in any home, but sometimes they can lack that cozy element of a warm fire. Luckily, with the help of Photoshop, you can easily add fire to fireplaces and bring that desired ambiance to your home photos. In this article, we will guide you through the process of adding fire to fireplaces using simple steps. Firstly, you need to select the appropriate fire image that you think is suitable for the fireplace. Ensure that the fire image size is smaller than the fireplace before opening both photos in Photoshop. Next, drop the fire image on top of the fireplace photo and resize the fire image to fit the fireplace. Once you have the fire image in place, zoom in a little bit and adjust it accordingly by clicking and holding down the Command button and moving it around. Ensure that the fire image looks realistic and not too exaggerated. After positioning the fire, change the Blend Mode of the fire layer from Normal to Screen. This will blend the fire image with the fireplace photo and create the illusion of a real fire. Repeat these steps for all the other fireplace photos you want to add a fire to. In some cases, the fireplace photo may have a log in place. To add a more realistic touch, remove the log by using the Clone Stamp tool. This tool allows you to select a point on the photo and use it to fill in an area, essentially removing any unwanted elements. Overall, adding fire to fireplaces is an easy process that can transform any photo. With just a few simple steps, you can make any home photo look cozy and inviting. Remember to select appropriate fire images, resize them, position them accordingly, change the Blend Mode, and remove any unwanted elements using the Clone Stamp tool.
