Lecture 94 The Settings | Aerial Videography
Hey everyone, in this video, we'll be discussing the settings we use for our aerial videos at Lister Pros. We primarily use the Mavic Air 2 drone for our aerial shots, and we've found these settings to work great for us in sunny Arizona. So let's dive into the specifics.
Firstly, we set the video format to 4K wide video mode, with the HDR video mode also turned on. The frame rate is set to 30 frames per second, and the video format is set to mp4. For color, we usually keep it on normal, and the coding format is set to H.264. Lastly, we keep the white balance setting on auto, which does a great job of adjusting to the environment we're shooting in.
When it comes to the camera settings, we usually keep the camera mode on auto. We've tested many DJI settings and found that automatic settings do a fantastic job of accurately setting the proper exposure and camera settings. However, if you feel the footage looks too bright or too dark, you can quickly adjust the exposure by changing the EV setting. While automatic settings work great, you can try experimenting with manual settings once you've got a good understanding of the basics.
It's important to note that the settings we use might not work for everyone. It's crucial to experiment with different settings and find what works best for you, depending on the location you're shooting in.
That's it for the video! I hope this helps you get started with your aerial video settings. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, and we'll see you guys in the next one.
