By default, Final Cut Pro has a selection of basic sound effects, but you can also add your own. To do this, you need to navigate to the Final Cut Pro sound effects folder, which can be found in the library, audio, Apple Loops, Apple, and then Final Cut Pro sound effects. From here, you can create your own folder for your property videos and add sound effects that are relevant to your specific content.
At our company, we typically source our sound effects from services such as Audio Jungle and Epidemic Sound. Once you have your sound effects, you can add them to the music app on your computer, and they will automatically show up in the sound effects section of Final Cut Pro. When selecting which sound effects to use, we tend to choose ones that are subtle and complement the visuals. For example, we might add swooshing sounds for blade speeding or water noises for properties with water features.
When adding sound effects to your videos, it's important to keep in mind that less is often more. You don't want to overwhelm the viewer with too many sound effects, as this can be distracting and take away from the overall quality of the video.
