65 - Editing Session - Job Shadow #2 - Scottsdale

Hey there, in this video editing session, I'm going to walk you through my process from start to finish. So far, I've created a new library called "Walkthrough" and a new project with a resolution of 1080p and a frame rate of 24 frames per second. I've also added all the footage that I shot in the order of the file names or numbers. The first step is to change the color space of the HL-G footage since it doesn't look good in Final Cut Pro. To do this, I select all the clips with Command A and go to the AI tab. Then, under "Color Space Override," I choose Rec 2020. I also remove all the audio from the clips since I won't be using it. To do this, I drop the audio level to negative decibels and then select all the clips with Command A and apply the audio attribute volume with Shift Command V. Next, I need to eliminate any duplicate clips and any shots that didn't turn out well. For example, there was a part of the house that I had to reshoot, so I'll need to weed out the duplicates. I skim through the footage quickly to identify the clips I want to keep and eliminate the ones I don't. I usually grab the tool at the top of the screen to skim through the footage quickly. After eliminating the unwanted clips, I duplicate the project to have a safety copy and start trimming the usable clips. I aim for around three-second clips or what I think is interesting. I zoom in and use the trimming tool to remove any unwanted parts of the clip. Once I have all the usable clips, I arrange them in the order I want and add any B-roll footage that I think will make the video more interesting. For example, I might add a slow-motion shot of the backyard or the kitchen. I make sure to put the B-roll footage next to where I want to use it. Overall, my process involves a lot of trial and error and a lot of eliminations to get to the final product. But with patience and attention to detail, I'm able to create a high-quality walkthrough video that showcases the best features of the property. #videoediting #editingprocess #finalcutpro #colorspace #1080p #24fps #footage #eliminatingclips #trimmingclips #Brollfootage #highquality #walkthroughvideo #propertyshowcase
