95 - 10 Shot Types For Aerial Video

Hey there! In this video, I shared 10 shot types for aerial video that we use at Lister Pros. We believe in being intentional with the shots we get to create engaging and informative aerial videos for our clients. Here's a quick rundown of the 10 shot types we covered: Shot type 1: Home reveal - Start at the front of the home and slowly go back and away from the property, then reverse it in the editing process. Shot type 2: Area highlights - Show the property's surrounding area to give viewers an idea of the location. Shot type 3: 360 views - Go at a high elevation directly above the property and slowly pan around in a 360-degree motion to capture all the area views. Shot type 4: Home panning shots - Capture these panning shots from the center left or right sides of the home for both the front and back yard. Shot type 5: Backyard reveal - Start at an elevation high enough to show the entire property, then fly over the home towards the backyard, tilting the camera gimbal down to focus on the backyard. Shot type 6: Bird's Eye backyard - Keep the backyard centered in the shot and move slowly either from up high and move down or start down and move up. Shot type 7: Bird's Eye lat - Start low and go up slowly until the entire lot is revealed, and add a slow 360-degree rotation as you ascend into the sky. Shot type 8: Backyard detail shots - Capture the nice features and amenities of the backyard by moving towards or away from them and shooting in 120 frames per second for slow-motion shots. Shot type 9: Closing shot - Capture the best aerial feature of the property and end the video on that feature. Shot type 10: Point of interest - Use the Point of Interest mode to fly around the property in a perfect circle and create a smooth shot. Remember that these are just a few examples of the many shot types you can capture. Every property is different, so use your best judgment and be creative in capturing the shots that showcase the property's unique features. That's it for this video.
