31 - Editing Session - Job Shadow #3 - Beautiful Inside, Ugly Outside

I'm going to show you my photo editing process for a property. I've already gone through the preliminary steps like running the AR W's through dng converter and importing them into Lightroom. I also applied the pre HDR preset on the interior photos, stacked them into groups of three by capture time, and ran the HDR merge function. After that, I applied the exterior presets on the exterior photos and the post HDR preset on the interior photos. Now, I'm going to start the regular edit. I begin by increasing the size of the thumbnails and going through each photo to remove any duplicates or unnecessary shots. I'm not a huge fan of the colors in one of the shots, but I'll leave it in and see if I can make it work. I also remove any shots that don't add much value, like one with a wall in the way. Next, I go into the Develop tab and start fine-tuning the images. I use the dehaze tool to cut through the hazy look caused by the low sun and adjust the highlights, shadows, and blacks to try and get rid of the dark spots on the house. I also adjust the luminance in the sky and use the gradient tool to make it cooler. However, I'm not happy with how the sky looks, so I decide to do a quick sky replacement in Photoshop. I also adjust the lighting on the house and reduce the shadows in some of the shots to make them look more natural. In the kitchen, I reduce the shadows on the dark cabinets and adjust the exposure and white balance to make it look more appealing. I also make adjustments to the bathroom, bedrooms, and exterior shots before exporting them. After making sure the photos are in the correct order, I export them to a new folder and check that their file sizes are appropriate. Overall, I'm pretty happy with how the edits turned out and I'm ready to move on to the next property.
