30 - Editing Session - Job Shadow #2 - Large Vacant Home

In this video, the editing process for a set of interior and exterior photos is shown from start to finish. The process begins with copying the raw images from the Sony camera to a new folder. The Adobe DNG converter is then opened, and the folder is selected to convert the images to DNGs with a maximum long side of 2048. Adobe Lightroom is then opened, and the DNGs are imported, applying minimal build previews. Next, the interior photos are selected, and the pre HDR interior user preset is applied before stacking them by capture time. The HDR merge process is then initiated with auto align and preset settings. After the HDR merge process completes, the HDR merged images are added to the quick collection, and the interior and exterior presets are applied. Before editing the photos, the photographer takes the time to go through and make sure they like all the photos that were taken, removing any they do not like. The editing process then begins with adjusting the exposure and reducing the whites in the exterior photos. The photographer then tries to remove a sign from one of the photos but finds that Lightroom does not do a good job with it. They use Touch Retouch instead and edit the photo by removing the sign and replacing it with the surrounding trees. The photographer then applies a slightly warmer tone to the interior photos and brightens up a dark corner using an exposure brush. Overall, this video shows that editing a set of photos takes time and attention to detail. By going through the process step-by-step, the photographer can ensure that the final product is of the highest quality. Taking the time to remove distractions from photos, adjust lighting, and apply presets can make a significant difference in the final product's appearance. By using the right tools and taking the time to make careful edits, the photographer can create stunning photos that showcase a property's best features.
