Today, I had the opportunity to take some amazing aerial photos of a stunning 2500 square foot home in North Scottsdale, Arizona. Equipped with the DJI Mavic Air 2 and the DJI Smart Controller, I set out to capture the best shots possible. However, I had to be mindful of some obstacles such as the tree above us and nearby airports. I made sure to keep an eye out for any aircraft in the area.
Starting with some lower level shots, I got back closer to the tree to capture the entire house in the frame. I made sure to tilt my gimbal down a bit and shot in both JPEG and RAW. Moving to the right side, I got some breathtaking views, avoiding the tree as much as possible. While the views from the other side were not as great, I still took some shots of the mountains in the far distance.
Going a bit higher, I made sure there were no higher obstacles before capturing the house from above. I focused on the side that had the best views and came back to the side that had the best angles of the house. However, with helicopters in the area, I decided not to go any higher than I already was.
I made sure to capture the entire lot with a top-down shot and focused on the backyard as I came down. There were no obstacles, so I was able to get a good shot of the pool and barbecue area. Even the angle that was obstructed by a wall was captured as I moved behind some tree stumps.
After double-checking my work, I was happy with the 18 photos I captured. It was a great day of aerial photography, and I hope these shots will help showcase this beautiful property to potential buyers.
