Offering employee benefits is a crucial aspect of building a loyal team and setting your media business apart from others. In this video, I discuss the benefits that we currently offer our employees. At our company, we provide paid time off starting with the first full month of employment. Our PTO policy is tiered, with team members receiving five days for the first two years, 10 days for three to six years, and 15 days once they reach seven years. We also provide paid holidays, including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Additionally, we offer 40 hours of sick leave per year.
As for work-related benefits, we provide work vehicles to our media specialists. Our vehicle of choice is the Toyota Prius, which we've found to be reliable and fuel-efficient. We also provide all equipment related to the job, from computers to camera gear. Work cell phones are also provided to our team members.
Currently, we don't offer health and retirement benefits, but this may change in the near future. It's important to note that offering benefits can help you retain top talent, and if you choose not to offer benefits, you may have to pay higher wages to keep your team members from seeking other opportunities.
