96 - 4 Aerial Videographer Mistakes And How To Avoid Them

Hey there, in this video we discussed some common beginner mistakes that aerial videographers make and how to avoid them. The first mistake is not making steady movements, which can be difficult to fix in post-production. It's important to keep your movements slow and steady, whether you're flying your drone or panning your camera. The second mistake is flying too fast, which can result in shaky footage and make it difficult to get smooth transitions. So, it's better to fly slow and steady to capture better footage. The third mistake is making sudden jerky movements, which can ruin a shot. To avoid this, plan your shots beforehand and execute them without making any sudden adjustments on the fly. And, if necessary, stop and reshoot the shot. The fourth mistake is under shooting, which means not capturing enough footage. Always shoot more than you think you need, and don't just shoot the same shots repeatedly. Finally, aerial videography takes a lot of practice to get to a level where you feel confident offering it as a service. So, get out there and practice shooting your own home, your neighbor's home, and other properties to build your confidence. If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out.
