137 - The Evolution Of Our Luxury Photos

Hey there, in this video, I want to talk about how my team and I evolved our luxury photography product. When I first started Lister Pros, I quickly realized that there was a demand for high-end photography for million-dollar listings. However, since I was new to the real estate photography industry, I didn't have much knowledge about shooting and editing high-end homes. So, I hired a luxury real estate photographer who was also a photography teacher and learned from him. I became his assistant for five or six luxury shoots and learned everything from the equipment to the camera settings and editing process. After that, I invested in the same equipment he was using at the time, which included low tota floodlights, alien B flashes, young new low speed lights, and a Canon five d mark three with a 17 to 40 lens. Eventually, he switched to a Sony A seven RT camera, and I followed suit. I was impressed by the Sony A seven RT camera's 36-megapixel sensor and how much data it had in the shadows and highlights of the raw images compared to the Canon. However, there were challenges with scaling luxury photography. The process was complex, and there were many variables to account for, such as electricity breakers tripping and floodlights using too much energy. I had to manually adjust each flash individually, which took up a lot of time. The lighting setup was too complex, and I needed to simplify it to scale the process. The hardest part was figuring out the lighting at the property, which took the majority of my time. Over time, flash technology improved, and I became more confident in the results I was getting with battery-powered flashes. It took us several years of trial and error with different equipment, camera settings, and editing processes to get to where we are today. Our luxury photography product consistently produces high-quality images through a process that's easy to train others on. In this course, we'll teach you some of the simple methods we've developed to achieve consistent results. We've put a lot of thought into each variable we teach, and we're confident that you'll be able to shoot high-end homes efficiently and effectively. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us.
