Hey guys, it's Jordan here. In this video, I'm going to take you through my process of editing aerial photos. I've already imported the photos into Lightroom and added them to my quick collection. Now, I'm going to start with the profile straight with automatic settings, just to see what I get. However, straightening the lot lines can be hit or miss with aerial photos, so we have to be careful. Luckily, these photos were shot with the Mavic Pro 2, which has a three by two aspect ratio, so they're already looking pretty good. I just need to straighten the angle on one of them and remove a stake from another. The next step is to ensure that the colors in the aerial photos match those in our regular property photos. We want to keep the colors consistent to deliver a better experience to potential buyers and to reduce the amount of complaints we get from customers. To achieve this, we shoot in a DNG or raw format, which allows us to adjust the white balance setting if we need to during the editing process. Drawing property lines is also important, especially for vacant lots. We like to outline the lot to help the buyer identify what is actually for sale. To ensure accuracy, we refer to Google Maps or an app like Land Glide when creating these lines. However, I make sure to disclose that the lot lines may not be 100% accurate to avoid any liability issues. Finally, centering the property is essential to help potential buyers easily identify the property that is for sale. The best way to do this is to keep the home in the center of the frame. If we didn't center it properly during the shooting process, we can always adjust the crop during the editing process. Once I'm happy with the edits, I copy and paste the settings to ensure a similar look and feel across all the photos. Then, I export the finished photos to a new folder with reduced size to make them around one megabyte each. That's it for this session of aerial photo editing. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me. Thanks for watching, and I'll see you guys on the next one. #aerialphotography #photographyediting #lightroom #drones #MavicPro2 #realestatephotography #photoeditingtips #aspectratio #colorconsistency #propertylines #centerproperty #spotremoval #exposureadjustment #dustremoval #Dehaze #photoexport #photographyworkflow #professionalphotography #photoeditingworkflow #editingsoftware #quicktips #videotutorial #photoeditingtutorial #photographytutorial
