Hey guys, in this video, we're going to look at what Ricoh tours look like on the computer, as well as how to deliver them to customers. Let's dive right in and take a look at this Gilbert home that we shot.
There are a couple of options on the website that are cool. You can turn off the enhanced images feature, which can make the pictures look darker and less appealing. They increase the dynamic range, it looks like they may drop the highlights and increase the shadows. If you're having technical difficulties, you can go here to add photos, and then you can add the 360 pictures, which usually save on your local device. If you're using the app, and it's not connecting, and the photos aren't showing up, name them correctly, because when you upload the photos from your device, it'll recognize the actual name that you gave it, saving you time later. If a customer wants a specific image, but the name doesn't match, you can go into the "edit photo name" option and change it accordingly. You can also rearrange the order of the images, using the three-dot button, which helps to organize them better. I prefer this view for rearranging, although it's harder to see the images.
To deliver these tours to customers, you can preview the tour, copy and paste the link, and send it to them. It's not necessarily a replacement for Matterport, as you don't see the floorplan, but it gives a high-level overview. If someone wants to check out the master bathroom, for example, they can scroll around and look at it. You also have interesting options, such as exporting a 2D photo, which isn't bad quality, with a four by three aspect ratio. It's just an add-on, as you wouldn't typically use the 2D photos.
You can also upload a floor plan and arrange the photos on it, but we don't use that feature. You can add a lot of details about the home if you want, but we usually don't. To share the tour with your customer, copy the link or the embed code, which can be added to a website. You have several options, including a full tour, unbranded tour, and a compact tour, depending on what you're looking for.
We really like Ricoh tours because it's a flat fee. We paid around $500 for an entire year, and we can do an unlimited amount of tours. This is something nice that you could offer and provide extra for free if that's part of your value proposition. It doesn't increase your cost much since you can do an unlimited amount of tours for the same price.
If you have any questions about Ricoh tours, feel free to reach out. We hope this video helped you understand the features and how to deliver the links to your customers. We'll see you guys on the next one!
