Today, I want to take you through my experience shooting a twilight shoot on a 1800 square foot home in Phoenix. As a stager and photographer, I was tasked with both setting up the home and taking listing photos. Let's dive into the process! First things first, I inspected the "for sale" sign and removed it from the post. The front yard was a bit moist, so I tried not to get my feet dirty. I inspected the home's lighting, paying close attention to the color of the bulbs, as they could affect the final product. After turning on all the lights, I assessed the different types of bulbs throughout the home and made judgments calls on which lights to turn on and off. I made sure to hide any distracting objects, such as papers on the countertop and a phone charger. I also moved pieces of carpet to make sure they were not visible in the photos. Additionally, I paid attention to the appliances, such as the expensive Viking appliances, and made sure to get pictures of them. When it was time to take photos, I started with the center shot and worked my way around the home, getting both wide and zoomed-in shots of each room. I used flash HDR and a quarter CTO gel on my flash to mimic more of a daytime color than a fluorescent. However, with all the fluorescent can lights, fluorescent might have been the better choice. I made sure to get shots of the Viking appliances and the nice built-ins in the closets. In the bathroom, I considered turning off the fan light due to the difference in bulb color. However, I decided to see how it looked in the photos before making a decision. Finally, I went outside to double-check the home and see what we were working with. I moved a rug and made sure not to track any dirt back into the home. I also made sure to consider the lighting outside, as some of the bulbs were tungsten and others were fluorescent. Overall, shooting this 1800 square foot home in Phoenix was a success! The final product showcased the home's best features and hid any distracting elements. As always, it was a pleasure to stage and photograph such a beautiful home. https://www.youtube.com/embed/gWVux5aumrs Join the movement! 👉 https://discord.gg/2k7eukR3RK
