Hey everyone, in this blog post, I want to share with you my experience editing a property using Lightroom. As a professional photographer, I always aim to deliver high-quality images that showcase the best features of a property. In this particular edit, I focused on enhancing the exterior and interior shots of a house. To start off, I applied the exterior and interior presets to give me a head start in the editing process. Then, I went through each image and eliminated any duplicates or shots that didn't add anything new. This helps to streamline the editing process and saves me time in the long run. Next, I went through each image and adjusted the settings according to what I thought would make the image look its best. For example, in one shot, there were some white balance issues, but I didn't want to mess with the white balance too much as it would affect the rest of the image. Instead, I desaturated the green tone that was affecting the shot. In another shot, the room was too dark, so I pasted the settings from another shot where the lighting was better. I also had to remove some distracting elements from a few images. In one shot, there was a person standing in front of the stove, so I used the blur tool to make them less prominent. In another shot, I had to remove myself from the image, which was a bit tricky due to some issues I was experiencing with the Lightroom update. Throughout the editing process, I kept in mind the overall look and feel of the property. I wanted to showcase the flow of the house and make it look inviting to potential buyers. After finishing the edits, I exported the images and double-checked the file sizes to make sure they were not too big. Overall, editing a property can be a time-consuming process, but with the right tools and mindset, it can be an enjoyable experience. As a photographer, I always aim to deliver the best possible images to my clients, and editing is a crucial part of achieving that goal.
