Hey there, it's Jordan. Today, I'm excited to show you how I take aerial photos of a 1800 square foot home using the DJI Mavic two Pro and the smart controller. This is the type of home that you'll likely be shooting if you're in the real estate media industry. Before we begin, safety always comes first. I make sure to check for obstacles, keep my drone within my line of sight, and ensure that it's safe to fly. Once I'm ready, I connect to 16 satellites and take off.
For this shoot, I start with a center shot of the property and move on to taking shots of the front, sides, and back of the house. I typically take shots at two different elevations to give a better sense of the surrounding areas, including any mountain views and neighborhood amenities. I also take a top-down shot of the backyard and a shot showcasing the pool. The goal is to showcase the best selling features of the property and give potential buyers a sense of what they can expect.
Throughout the shoot, I stay mindful of potential obstacles, such as light posts and trees, and try to avoid capturing negative aspects, such as neighboring homes or busy roads. I also take into consideration the unique features of the home and focus on capturing shots that will engage potential buyers.
One thing to keep in mind is the importance of safety when shooting aerial photos. There may be aircraft in the area or flight level restrictions that you need to follow. Always keep safety and obstacles in mind when shooting aerial photos.
Overall, I hope this video has given you an idea of how to take aerial photos of a typical home in the real estate industry. Remember to keep safety in mind, focus on capturing the best selling features of the property, and be mindful of potential obstacles and negative aspects. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me. See you on the next one!
