As I begin this daytime luxury photo editing session, I'm excited to see what I can do with these 60 megapixel images from the Sony a seven or four camera. However, since the customer doesn't need such high-resolution photos, I plan to shrink them down to 20 megapixels using Adobe dng converter to speed up the editing process. After selecting the folder and changing the preferences, I wait for the converter to do its job, which can take some time due to the large amount of pixels being processed.
Once the conversion is complete, I open Lightroom and import the images, selecting only those that I plan to edit. As I go through each photo, I look for the best shot that blends ambient and flash exposures while also removing unwanted reflections. Some shots require more than two exposures, but I try to keep it to a minimum. After selecting the images to edit, I start with the front of the house and work my way forward.
I adjust the exposure, shadows, and highlights to make the photos look their best. Sometimes, I use Lightroom's cloning tool to remove unwanted objects or shadows, but it doesn't always work perfectly. If needed, I will also use Photoshop to make more detailed edits.
Throughout the editing process, I try to keep a uniform look to the photos, copying and pasting settings as needed. Some shots require more adjustments than others, but I always strive to make them all look their best. Overall, I'm excited to see the final result and hope the customer will be happy with the finished product.
